This is a case study about a 4-year-old boy who is diagnosed with developmental delay and attachment problems. He has showed several problems such as retarded early language development and unstable attachment with his mother. He was absorbed in solitary play and could neither play nor interact with peers in his nursery school. Through 90 sessions in total, a comprehensive approach incorporating developmental play therapy, group therapy, and basic cognitive therapy was administered. At the beginning stage of the sessions, he showed negative feelings when others touched his toys and felt anxious in strange situations. However, he gradually enhanced his verbal ability, emotional regulation, social adjustment, and mother-child attachment. Then, he has begun to develop his basic cognitive abilities.
